TORINO UNLIMITED NOISE

TUN è Torino Unlimited Noise, il trio formato dai jazzisti italiani Gianni Denitto (sax), Fabio Giachino (synth) e Mattia Barbieri (batteria/drum pads) che supera i confini del genere fondendo i ritmi techno con il jazz. TUN miscela musica elettronica e progressioni armoniche raffinate, in un gioco di ricerca tra suoni acustici e sintetici spinti all’estremo dallo spirito del power trio.

Il progetto, nato nel 2018, nel marzo 2019 ha realizzato il suo primo EP e nel maggio 2021 il primo album per l’etichetta Jazz O Tech. Due dischi, 10 tracce in cui si muovono le diverse anime della città, sintetizzate in un suono che affonda le radici nella tradizione jazz per superarne i confini.

Nel 2020 TUN ha partecipato alla compilation “This is Techno Jazz” collaborando con Tensal, uno dei massimi esponenti della Techno Europea.

La formazione ha suonato in Festival come:

Eurovision 2022 - To, Jazzahead 2022 - Bremen(De), Jazz Re:Found 2021 - Al, Edinburgh Jazz Festival 2020, Gate of Teheran Festival 2020, JazzMI 2020 - Milano.

Nel 2022 hanno composto l’inno per i campionati europei di nuoto di Roma e il brano Sahara è stato selezionato come sigla del podcast RAI “Ragazze con la pistola”.

I 3 musicisti arrivano da una lunga carriera internazionale e hanno all'attivo collaborazioni con importanti artisti tra cui spiccano Richard Galliano, Dave Liebman, Fabrizio Bosso, Zion Train, Adrian Sherwood, Samuel Romano, Roy Paci, Fabrizio Rat, Randy Brecker, Gianluca Petrella.

TUN: AKA “Torino Unlimited Noise”, is a powerhouse featuring some of the most exciting jazz musicians from Italy, that are pushing the boundaries of the genre by fusing techno beats with jazz, creating a fresh and unique new sound: Gianni Denitto (sax), Fabio Giachino (synth) and Mattia Barbieri (drums).

The three musicians have already performed with artists such Richard Galliano, Zion Train, Randy Brecker, Flavio Boltro, Ensi, Dave Liebman, Adrian Sherwood.

Torino Unlimited Noise is a tribute to their city and its sounds, its industrial soul and its underground expressive power, pushing towards a human dimension, in search of meaning and beauty. Fusing compositions rooted in the jazz tradition and harmonic progressions with electronic sounds, the trio pushes the sonic boundaries of both genres.

Following their first EP released in 2019 with Jazz-o-Tech, the ground- breaking Berlin/Milan-based record label, TUN released their first album “New door” in May 2021.

In 2022 they toured Germany, played at Eurovision 2022 guest Dub FX and composed a song for the European Aquatics Championships, Rome.

In 2020, the band also joined forces with other artists like VSK and Gianluca Petrella to release the compilation ‘This is Techno Jazz’.
Their track “Devourer of Senses” was co-produced with Tensal, one of the main exponents of European Techno music.

During lockdown, the band also recorded a breath-taking audio visual show in the Alpine woods, which was premiered by the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival in July 2020, as part of their ‘Jazz n Tech’ programme (also featuring Belgian ESINAM, British ESKA and Scottish MDNMTH)

Other notable appearances include concerts at Eurovision 2022, Jazzahead Bremen, Jazz Re:found Festival, Gate of Tehran, JazzMI (Milan Jazz Festival), Castello Sforzesco (Milan) for Outsound Festival, Torino Jazz Festival.
