Built around the rich, soulful sound of Alberto Gurrisi’s Hammond organ, this quartet brings together four seasoned musicians whose individual paths converge in a shared love for hard bop. Their music channels the spirit of classic jazz from the ’50s and ’60s, while also embracing the many stylistic shifts the genre has undergone over the decades.
The setlist features a blend of original tunes and reimagined standards, crafted specifically for this lineup. The group’s arrangements are dynamic and conversational, with an ever-evolving interplay between composed themes and improvisation.
Active since 2011, the quartet has played to enthusiastic audiences at top festivals and jazz venues throughout Italy. Their debut album, 888, released in 2015, garnered widespread acclaim from critics and jazz insiders alike.
Now, after years of honing their sound on stage, the group returns with Social Distance—a bold new studio album released in spring 2025. Made up entirely of original material, the record captures the quartet at its most cohesive and expressive, offering a fresh take on a time-honored tradition.

Il quartetto, incentrato sulle sonorità dell’organo Hammond di Alberto Gurrisi, è composto da musicisti provenienti da diverse esperienze musicali ma accomunati dal linguaggio del jazz. Il sound si ispira alla grande stagione anni ’50 e ’60 ma si confronta anche con i diversi stili che si sono sviluppati successivamente.
In repertorio molte composizioni originali e rivisitazioni di alcuni standard, pensati appositamente per questa formazione con una scrittura caratterizzata dal costante dialogo tra le sezioni, con strutture tematiche e improvvisazioni live sempre diverse.
Il quartetto, attivo dal 2011, si è esibito in prestigiose rassegne e club di tutta Italia, esperienze che nel 2015 hanno ispirato la produzione del primo album “888” molto apprezzato dalla critica di settore e nel 2025 “Social Distance”
